Susan WhiddingtonSusan is the founding director of Mousetrap Theatre Projects, a theatre education charity dedicated to creating opportunities for young people with limited resources to attend theatre. Mousetrap Theatre Projects runs a range of innovative access and creative learning programmes for young people, teachers, schools, families and youth groups. Since its founding in 1997, close to 120,000 disadvantaged young people and young people with special needs have attended outstanding theatre productions across London.

From 1989 – 1997, Susan was the Development Officer of the Society of London Theatre, responsible for information services, marketing, press and public affairs. Her first UK arts position was as Project Director for the Association of British Orchestras.

Susan has been a Governor of Harrow School since 2009 and a former Governor of Canberra Primary School in Hammersmith & Fulham.   Susan serves as an Advisory Board Member for Facing History and Ourselves and is an elected member of the International Women’s Forum which advances leadership by connecting women of significant and diverse achievement.

She was a former Chair of Democrats Abroad UK and attended the Democratic National Convention as a delegate in 1992 & 1996. Susan participated in Common Purpose 1993 – 1994 West London Programme.
